Meet Our Founder

Why we started...
In 2018, Khadijah founded the For Our Women (F.O.W.) Foundation of Hope is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and empowering BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) women and girls, including Trans women and individuals who identify as women or girls.
Recognizing a gap in educational programs and organizations that cater specifically to the needs of women and girls in her community, Khadijah created a space where they could find the resources and support they deserve. F.O.W. Foundation aims to be a lifeline for those experiencing hardships such as abuse, financial distress, discrimination, neglect, mental health challenges, trauma, and lack of access to education and employment opportunities.
Khadijah’s vision was to establish a space where women and girls could build confidence, gain access to essential resources, and take control of their futures. She strongly believes that investing in ourselves is key to empowering future generations to thrive.
By providing access to existing programs and services, the F.O.W Foundation connects individuals with the tools they need to build a better life. In offering this support, we help change the lives of women and girls who just need an opportunity and someone who believes in them. It’s a powerful and beautiful feeling to know that someone is rooting for your success.
Khadijah is an entrepreneur and scholar. She holds a degree in Gender & Women’s Studies and Human Rights & Equity Studies from York University and is currently pursuing a Master's in Social Work with a specialization in Public Health at Windsor University.
We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.
